Publication Date!
Molly McFlynn Goes Rogue to be published 28th Sept 2026
Third anniversary of felling at Sycamore Gap
Exciting news! I’m thrilled to announce the publication date for my next novel, Molly McFlynn Goes Rogue will be the same date as the third anniversary of the felling of the tree at Sycamore Gap. 28th September 2026.
Inspired by the felling of the iconic tree at Sycamore Gap, this is a story rooted in Northumberland, with elements of magical realism, environmental activism and historical adventure.
With our bold protagonist, Molly McFlynn coming into her power, having turned personal and collective grief into hope and action, this story will excite and encourage all to stand up for what is right.
Pre-orders will go live on Ist September for bookshops and other online retailers, but those who have found their way here can pre-order now! Just head to the BOOKS PAGE for more info and place your pre-order for either Molly McFlynn Goes Rogue (delivery Sept) or the first in the series, The Rewilding of Molly McFlynn, which can be delivered now.

Thanks to Nicola Chester, award winning author, environmental activist, and ex-school librarian for this super endorsement of Molly McFlynn Goes Rogue:
Molly McFlynn is back in town, back in time, fresh-thinking and deeply relevant – I love her more than ever! Full of warmth, fire and belief in what’s right, she’s a complex character, a true and reflective leader, and an example to us all.
And I love her Nan so much!
Thanks for dropping by!

‘Bold, fiery, and full of heart, Molly McFlynn Goes Rogue is a powerful journey rooted in hope.’
There were two trees in Molly’s life – one she could no longer bear to be around and another that was calling her back.
Haunted by grief and unable to live the life she once knew, Molly is drawn to Sycamore Gap. It’s the only place that makes sense to her – where the legendary tree stood alone beside Hadrian’s Wall for generations, a symbol of strength, memory, and belonging.
On the night before the beloved tree is brutally felled in an act that shocks and devastates the nation, Molly finds herself standing beneath its branches.
And something shifts.
Pulled into a world far older and wilder than her own, Molly is swept back to ancient Britain, into a world of Iron Age tribes, druids, and old magic, at the time when Hadrian’s Wall is being constructed.
As the line between past and present blurs, Molly rediscovers her spark and creativity and uncovers a fierce power buried deep within herself – one fuelled by grief, rebellion, and hope.
Congratulations Sue
